It is a long beach, about 5 km from the Port to the Concert Hall and the Posidonio National Swimming Pool. On one side, green spaces and 12 theme parks, reminiscent of the Mediterranean gardens that existed in the area, are offered for rest, reading, or meeting friends. On the other hand, the sea with its many forms, sometimes blue and calm, sometimes blue and turbulent, sometimes golden, stretches out in the light of the sunset. In the background dominates the mountain mass of Olympus, so imposing but also so dear and familiar. From the beach, the view of Thermaikos gulf and Mount Olympus is magnificent – as it changes from sunrise to sunset, depending on the time of year and weather conditions – and is ideal for photography by lovers of the art of photography
In its center dominates the White Tower, which was once built as a prison but today functions as a museum and on its six floors is presented (using multimedia, video, projections, interactive and audio applications and printed graphic compositions) the history of the city of 2,300 years .
